Maxine Faass

Invention Associate

Maxine is a graduate from Emory University with her Bachelors of Science in Chemistry and Ancient Mediterranean studies. She did cell line cloning and media development research at Thermo Fisher Scientific during the summers. She earned her Masters of Science after completing the Masters of Biotechnology program at Northwestern’s McCormick School of Engineering in 2021. Most recently, Maxine worked at a biotechnology startup company in Chicago as an associate patent agent, working on the portfolio licensed from NU, among other projects.

Outside of the office, Maxine is an active member of the Chicago Swordplay Guild and enjoys archaeology, fishing, and cheering for Philadelphia area sports teams. In addition Maxine was a varsity softball catcher at Emory for four years and is currently coaching for a local travel softball organization.
